What is Going On With You??

What is going on with you?  You are not acting like yourself lately.  You used to be so full of life.  Your level of energy is down.  You don't even enjoy our talks anymore.  Your passion and joy is gone.  What are you thinking??  You won't even let me in.  I know that you are living, but it's like you are dead.  You don't even smile at me anymore when I say your name.  You have lost hope.  You have buried yourself in.  I wish you'd come alive again.  I miss my old friend.

DON'T LET DEPRESSION STEAL YOUR LIFE.  SOMEBODY IS MISSING YOU TODAY.  GBU HEAVEN IS THE FINISH LINE!

"HAVE YOU PLUGGED INTO THE SOURCE TODAY?"

David was always looking to The Father as his source of strength. In this passage: Psalm 25:16-22 David enlisted the Father's help several times. Here is his requests: Turn to me, show me mercy, free me, help me, forgive me, look at my trials, protect me, and save me. You see David knew that he was weak, and he knew where to go to get his help from. That is why he stated that, "My help comes from the Lord."

SCRIPTURE REFERENCE: Psalms 25:16-22 (Easy read bible) I am hurt and lonely. Turn to me, show me mercy. Free me from my troubles. Help me solve my problems. Look at my trials and troubles. Forgive me for all the sins I have done. Look at all the enemies I have. They hate me, and want to hurt me. Protect me! Save me from them! I come to you for protection, so don't let me be disappointed. You are good and do what is right. I trust you to protect me. God, save the people of Israel from all their enemies.

Sometimes we are so bent on handling life, and it's problems on our own, not enlisting the help of The Almighty God until we can't handle it anymore or until we are about to loose our minds. But God is always our source of strength whether we choose to rely on him or not. Imagine this, your power source is your electric company. You have made the connection with the source of electricity, but you choose to sit in darkness, stumbling around hurting yourself, until you can't take it any more. Soon you decide to turn on the light. As soon as you do things become much better, more clearer, and easier.

Why would you go through your problems or trials alone? Silly question; because we all have done it. But why? Maybe, to prove a point that you are strong or independent, and that you don't need the help. I don't know?? Or maybe you get into a slump, and forget to plug in with the source of our strength; which is the Father. We forget to plug in to the word of God; not realizing that it is how we get our fuel to fight, or to simple stand and see the salvation of God. Without plugging in with The Father we will have to stumble around in the dark--handling life, and our problems on our own. However; those who stay co-dependent on God like David did will always have God as their help. They will never have to go at life alone. They will never have to handle their problems alone. The will always enlist the help of the Father because they know that life is too hard for them without Him. In prayer they will say co-dependent words like David said, "Turn to me, Show me mercy, free me, help me, forgive me, look at my trials , protect me, and save me."

David was not ashamed to be totally dependent on God, and unless we are totally dependent on the Father we won't ever know that protection that David knew. With every new day Let's get plugged in to the source of our strength. Don't rely on the anointing that carried you through yesterday. Get a fresh new anointing for a new day. It's like the fresh bread that the Priest in the bible days had to offer as a sacrifice unto the Lord. It had to be fresh!

Psalms 46:1-2 says, "God is our refuge and strength always ready to help in times of trouble..." He is ready, make that connection daily!

"When I Looked at the wicked I almost slipped."

‎David was a man that loved God, but what's even greater God loved David best. He was a man after God's own heart, but even David foot almost slipped when he began looking back at how much the wicked was prospering.

Just recently I had an episode of doubting. Yes, I said doubting! I am sure that we have all have had times in our life's that we have wondered if doing right really ever pays off; especially, when you see the unrighteous seeming to always be getting ahead.

I was quickly remained by a good friend that overall who was I going to stand before. In other words; what may seem like it's okay now may not be okay on the JUDGMENT DAY, but not only that; our ULTIMATE goal is to be like Jesus and not the world.

David only begin to slip when he looked at the world. My point is that we shouldn't even be looking at the world.

Like Peter who had taken his eyes off of Jesus to look around, we too will began to sin in our walk with Christ too if we began to look around and compare ourselves to the world.

Sure the world may seem like they are having a grand ole time, but sin only last for a season, and yes many are the afflictions of the righteous, but God will deliver them out of them all. Hello! God will deliver....God is in charge of what?? To deliver us. Notice I said to deliver us because like the old saints used to say, "Oh how I want to be in that number, when the saints go marching in." That will be the ultimate day of our deliverance. It will make all of our suffering her worth it all.

I know that THE WAY may not always be easy, but Jesus promised that IF we would suffer with Him then we would reign with him. God is not slack concerning his promises. So keep your eyes fixed upon Jesus, and remember no matter how rough the storms may get JESUS IS STILL ON THE BOAT. Keep the faith and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and not the world. For narrow is the gate that leads to eternal life and few be that find it. Those that do find it, and don't stay the course will not obtain the prize.
