If you are insulted/hated for the sake of Jesus and righteousness; then your light is not in vain. God has a great reward for you in heaven. So don't feel discourage, but rejoice because so hated they the prophets before you. Just know that satan hates you because you have Jesus on the inside of you. So his tricks and schemes are to get you to feel bad. He wants you to shrink away in a corner somewhere, and hide THE VERY THING that will affect this world. Jesus said, "you are the light of the world." That is a big responsibility to light the world, but if you don't do it; who will? You may be the only light in your area that some people will ever see. If you don't shine then many will continue to live in darkness.
I challenge you to light YOUR world. A city set on a hill can not be hid, but if you hide your light it is hid TO THEM THAT ARE LOST.
