Kill everything in the enemy's camp
After reading alot of stories in the old testament. I began to wonder how could God be so cruel when he told the Armies of the children of Israel to kill their enemies. He said EVERYTHING, even the women and children. That to me sounds so harsh, mean and cruel. On several occasions someone didn't follow through, and had sympathy or compassion, and would allow someone from the enemy's camp to live. God didn't look at this disobedience against him with kindness. Instead, for not killing them ALL, God would kill that person and his whole family.
In the flesh, this does SEEM CRUEL, but remember God's ways are higher than ours way and his thoughts are higher than our thoughts. God knows that Satan cannot be reckoned with. He must be kicked out, killed, COMPLETELY DESTROYED! For example, God kicked Satan out when he rebelled against Him in Heaven. Not only did he rebel, but he influenced 1/3 more angels to rebel against God too. Not soon after he caused the whole world to sin against God through just one lie.
You see, it started out with a lie in Heaven, then a lie to Eve, and he's been lying every since. God knows that, so he says, "destroy everything that belongs to the enemy." Because anything spared will cause a root of the enemy to spring back up in your life. You don't want his talk, walk, friends or attitudes. DON'T LET ANYTHING LIVE IN YOUR LIFE THAT BELONGS TO THE ENEMY. KILL IT DEAD!
Sometimes we began to compromise with the world, and do little things that are wrong. We think or believe the lie of Satan, "what can it hurt." But remember, Satan is a deceiver. COMPROMISE is an open door to backsliding away from God.
Is there something in your life that the Father wants you to kill? Something big or even small that belongs to the enemy? Whatever or whoever it is, I pray that the Holy Spirit would show you. Don't let it stay in your life because it may cost you your life.
